"here is a good recipe" from an undisclosed source (Jim Hill)
2 cups organic oats
2 bananas
1 cup mixed nuts
1 cup apple sauce
1/2 tablespoon cinnamon
1/4 cup brown sugar
Mix in mixing bowl and press into buttered pyrex dish. cover with some chocolate chips. bake at 350 for 15-20 minutes. spread melted chips over to make even covering and let cool. cut into squares and you have a nice treat for the kids and they think they have a candy bar. bam.
BAM! Now you're Emeril.
ReplyDeletehave you tried this one?
ReplyDeletethat sounds yummy for grownups too!, healthy!
ReplyDeleteYeah - these are awesome.
ReplyDeleteNext time I will double the nuts and add raisins.
Ahhh went to make this today & we don't have the bananas...duh! I can't wait to try it though :)
ReplyDeleteI made this & the bottom was very gooey, wasnt the consistency i though. is it supposed to be "cakey" on the bottom? I didnt have exactly 2 cups of oats so that may be it. will try again!
ReplyDeleteFor a crunchier bottom - use at least double the nuts!
